My friends and I went to Cafe Moroc for Summerlicious. I had the Matfoul for appetizer, which is a hand rolled "Moroccan Cigars", hot crispy pastry stuffed with a mixture of mildly spiced beef, cashews and raisins, topped with chipotle aioli. That was okay... I wasn't blown away by it. I ordered the Lamb Shank for my entree. It was tender but once again, I thought it was just average... wasn't exceptional nor bad. I ordered the creme brulee and that was, again, just ok. The crust of the brulee was too hard. But the fixed price menu was only 25 bucks so I'd go there again (for summerlicious). My friends and I will go there again for Sultan's Tent because we want to experience the ambiance inside as opposed to being at the bar. But I won't be expecting anything too exceptional food wise.
The restaurant`s ambience is spectacular. We celebrated our daughter`s birthday and were so happy we chose The Sultans Tent for this special celebration. Deborah (Customer Service Manager) did an outstanding job accommodating us and ensuring our evening was a truly memorable experience. Everthing we ordered was amazing although the cocktails were way over priced but still delicious. We all ordered something different so we could sample a variety of menu items. Good portion sizes and great service. Again, Deborah from Customer Services....Thank you so very much for your assistance and making this a great night! Can`t wait to bring our out of town guests to this unique restaurant. This is what makes Toronto such a great place to go to!
This our 2nd time going to sultan tent, we booked 3 weeks in advance. The atmosphere is very good, but the food is just terrible. You have a set menu 40 dollars + tax, however you have to pay extra for any good meal on this set menu (deceiving). we ordered sword fish which we had to take back as it was uneatable! they brought us Salmon, which was ok. We always go back to restaurants but for this one We have decided to put a big CROSS.

I was a little concerned about planning a special dinner for my boyfriend here after reading all the reviews, but it turned out to be a fabulous meal! The service didn't start out that great as our server never came by for our drink orders. However, a manager noticed very quickly, took our order and probably spoke to the server as after that she was attentive all night. Courses arrived and were cleaned up very quickly and politely as well. I was very happy with each dish-the food was cooked exactly right, perfect temperature and freshness and most of all, full of flavour. It was evident that a lot of thought and care had been put into developing and preparing each dish. The bellydance show was good but I was disappointed that there was only one dancer. The restaurant was full and since some areas are quite secluded, we only got to see glimpses of the dancer for a minute or so. At least 2 dancers would have made it much more of a show, especially for the full house they had.

This decadent and singular tribute to Moroccan merrymaking is always in party mode. Here, soon-to-be-marrieds can find much levity to divert them from the gravity of their looming nuptials, including bare-midriffed belly dancers and a lavish décor decked out in rich pillows and drapes. Staff here will happily step in to help you plan your event.
