My boyfriend and I went for Valentine's day and we were both extremely disappointed by the food. I had the mushroom bisque to start which was very bland. The chevre brulee was decent- but they only gave one tiny little crostini to spread the goat cheese over. I had the chicken wrapped in phyllo pastry - stuffed with stilton cheese and spinach which was also VERY BLAND and the phyllo pastry was burnt on the edges. My boyfriend had the Morrocan pillows which were nothing more than rice wrapped cabbage rolls in a BLAND tomato sauce. We were both expecting an explosion of morrocan flavours but no dice. After a disappointing dinner, we were looking forward to The French Kiss dessert- a vanilla, pomegranate and pistachio ice cream cake, however once again we were disappointed. The entire dessert was bland- even the vanilla ice cream! The best part of the meal, sadly was the Morrocan mint tea at the end. The belly dancers were a nice treat, however when they pulled up one of the patrons to dance, she put the belly dancer to shame! The patron had better dance moves than the hired dancer. Save your money folks! Although the atmosphere is great, the food sucks!
We were invited by a freind, a group of 16, the waiter was very rude from beginning, I asked him wat kind of juises they offer, he replied : cranbery, he did not even bother to mention any thing else. he was abrupt and had no appreciation what so ever for the business, all of us were upset with his attitude, the meal was a joke, the soup was a sample, bearly one quarter of the bowl, the rest of the meal was soo sweet, nothing like north african, and finally the tea was horrible, we haVE TRIED IT BEFORE, AND yesterdays may be as we were the last shift of the day, we got the leftovers of the whole day with weard taste, we asked the waiter to pour the tea the morocon style, he replied abruptly, let me serve every body first and then i will do, we never saw him again, mind you nobody could finish his small glass of tea!!! The belly dancer was a joke!!!! Definitely not going again, and my advise to all: SPEND YOUR MONEY SOME WHERE ELSE WHERE YOU GET VALUE FOR WHAT YOIU SPEND AND NOT TO LEAVE UPSET.
I was at Sultan's tent on Friday at 7.30 pm seating with 9 other people. 1) The food was pricey. It appears you have to pay $40 per person but lot of the decent items on the menu is an upgrade. 2) The food did not taste authentic, second course and main course was sweet. I have had Moroccan food before and the food did not taste the same. 3) There were only two performers for the entire restaurant and half of the time, they were not performing, they were inviting guests up to dance... so we were paying to watch guests attempting to belly dance. The performance was short (30 minutes or less). 4) The service was very good though.
Went here for a birthday dinner. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful looking. Food....another story. The set course is very misleading. You must pay extra to order anything that seems appetizing, but this also proved a poor choice. The most interesting event of the night was when I ordered the "Moroccan stew" which cost extra. They must have run out, because instead I got a small serving of Campbell's Chunky Soup in its place. Yes. The beef variety. Imagine my shock? The rest of the meal was equally bland and boring. Wildly overpriced. The belly dancing was ok, the girl was nice, but the show was BORING. What a waste of money. A poor poor choice.
I had heard of this restaurant by friends and they insisted I take my celebration party there. From the moment my guests and I sat down, we knew we were in for a special evening. The service was outstanding, from the host to our server, all made us feel very special. The rack of lamb I had was probably the best ever. All my guests have called to say what a great "special" evening it was. I will not only return, but this is our new celebration place, and will recommend to all my friends.

This decadent and singular tribute to Moroccan merrymaking is always in party mode. Here, soon-to-be-marrieds can find much levity to divert them from the gravity of their looming nuptials, including bare-midriffed belly dancers and a lavish décor decked out in rich pillows and drapes. Staff here will happily step in to help you plan your event.
