Ok so Sauga is full of great places, and Axia is one of those great places we always meet friends at when we're in the region. The sushi here is quality and consistent. You can tell right away that they use a higher grade of fish than some of the local AYCE (all-you-can-eat) places. The Dragon rolls and spicy rolls are pretty much different than any other place I've been to which keeps me coming back. The wifey doesn't like sushi, so she likes to stick with the Chinese and Thai food which she absolutely loves. The look and feel is nice, sort of like an outdoorsy theme. Service was friendly and fast and the bill is reasonable for a place like this. Anyways, give Axia a try, it's one of those places that'll keep you coming back for more. Read more

Japanese and Sushi Restaurants in Milton ON

Sushi, miso soup, rice dumplings, there is so much to consider when choosing the ideal Japanese or sushi restaurant.  Before you base your choice solely on the menu plastered outside of a sushi bar or from someone you just met off the street, here are some simple tips to guide your stomach to the best Japanese cuisine in Milton ON.

Tips on how to find Japanese and sushi restaurants in Milton ON

  • Japanese restaurant reviews: Online and newspaper Japanese restaurant reviews in the food or lifestyle section are your best tools when trying to find top sushi bars in Milton ON. Most reviews rate Japanese restaurants by atmosphere, portion size, price and service. These independent reviewers have no one to please but their finicky tastes for all things from the land of the rising sun.
  • The concierge always knows: If you are travelling in a new city, your hotel’s concierge or the hotel staff will be able to find Japanese restaurants that suit your taste buds and budget. The concierge will be able to lead you in the right direction and even place a reservation for you or a takeout order for delivery.
  • What you’re looking for: Authentic Japanese restaurants and sushi bars serve raw seafood and rice inspired dishes. Typical dishes include rice dumplings, tofu, shellfish meals and sake. If you are looking for a particular Japanese dining experience or all you can eat sushi, call the establishment ahead of time and ask if they serve your favourite dishes.
  • Ask the neighbourhood: Most local seafood and wine vendors deal directly with the Japanese restaurants and grills in your neighbourhood. Ask them about the restaurants and bars they deal with and the kinds of meals they serve.
