Marché Lacordaire

Marché Lacordaire is a real neighbourhood institution. This small grocery store located in Mercier provides everything people need in a pleasant environment where everybody knows each other. Established in 1920, the business has had a few different owners before Jean-Pierre Laflamme took it over a few decades ago.

Jean-Pierre owned a small convenience store next to the market and wanted a business that would allow him to work more reasonable hours. At the time, grocery stores closed at 5 o'clock and weren't open on Sundays. Since then, things have changed and the neighbourhood grocery store is now open seven days a week from 8 am to 9 pm.
