How do you find the right massage therapist? For Sylvie Querido, the answer is clear: “A good massage therapist is someone who listens to people and is driven by a desire to help restore well-being and comfort while demonstrating professional integrity,” she explains. These are the values Sylvia uses in her training at À fleur de peau, a massage therapy school she has been running since 2005.
“I myself have always loved being in contact with people and being able to help them. This school was founded in 1989, and this is where I learned everything. The founder of À fleur de peau, Paul Boisvert, was the one who trained me when I decided to become a massage therapist. Once I completed the training, I practiced at the school’s clinic, amongst others, and helped Paul with the training and the coaching of his students. A few years later, he decided to retire, and I had the opportunity to purchase the school; I have been at the head of it since,” she says.
