Rustique is a classic country pie stand... in the city. We specialize in handcrafted desserts made simply, by hand, using real butter, flour, sugar and the finest local and seasonal ingredients. We have a selection of fruit and cream pies, cakes, bars and more that are fresh out of the oven daily, plus confections such as marshmallows, caramel corn and nut brittles packaged and ready for take-out and gifting. Meet the owner

While running a bakery in the Cayman Islands, pastry chef Tamera Clark met Ryan Bloom, a real estate developer and fellow Canadian. The two hit it off, and soon they were talking business. Both felt that while there was no shortage of bakeries, something was missing. Soon they were exchanging ideas and envisioning the possibility of starting a sweet shop like no other. For a locale, the duo settled on Montreal, where they partnered with Ryan’s sister-in-law, Jacqueline Berman.

In February 2013, Rustique Pie Kitchen opened its doors on Notre Dame Street in the city's St. Henri neighbourhood. The quaint and cozy old-fashioned bakery and pie shop would soon become one of Montreal’s most talked-about sweet spots.
