We were at the Woodbridge location Sunday evening July 23 around 6:00. The chairs actually have tears and rips in them, the place in general is very worn looking!. The waitress didn't smile once, actually looked annoyed the whole time. But biggest complaint is the floor "bounced" under our chairs every time someone walked by. So annoying and very distracting to enjoy conversation and meal!!! Would think twice about returning again.
We were seated right away. The service was great and fast. All our meals were awesome. Even our teenagers loved it. The prime rib and steak were cooked exactly the way we wanted. We will definitely go back.
My husband and I had some errands to run in the area, so we decided to stop at Baton Rouge for some drinks and a bite to eat. Upon arrival around 7:30 PM on a Saturday, the foyer was full of people waiting for a table. They took our name and told us the wait was about 10-20 minutes. We were seated 40 minutes later. We waited in the bar and had a few drinks...my husband had a beer and I tried the raspberry collins. It was terrible. All I could taste was grenadine and 7-up? The menu says garnish but the bartender couldn't be bothered to get one - she was too busy visiting and serving a group of women seated next to us. When the group seated next to us was leaving to sit at their table in the dining room, I overheard the bartender insisting she could give the waitress their bar tab so that they could pay everything at one time. Our table was ready immediately after, so when I asked if we could move our tab to the dining room, she simply snapped "No - you gotta pay here." and walked away from me. I waited another 5 minutes just to pay my bar tab. When we were seated the waitress (Sarah?) was very quick to take our drink orders. When we inquired about moving the tab over from the bar, she was confused why the bartender didn't do it and said there shouldn't have been a problem? She took a bit of time to come and take our food order - I think it was mainly due to the fact she had too many tables. She was doing her best. Our food order took literally 5 minutes. Count 'em. And the food was warm. I wonder if they just prepare appetizers in advance? :) We shared the chicken tenders with fries, and spinach dip. BOTH dishes were cold - not fresh/warm at all. The chicken tenders were too breaded (not much chicken) and the dip was very watery. They give plenty of chips which weren't greasy at all - I would have prefferred a choice between pita chips and pita bread though. I chose to have a daquiri with the meal, while my husband had what was on tap. When will I learn to stick with beer? Again, my drink was terrible. We then decided to share dessert and ordered the brownie with ice cream. It was amazing! Warm and perfect for the two of us. My husband ordered an irish coffee with dessert and nearly spit it out. We've had it before so it shouldn't have been a surprise, but even I couldn't stand that drink. There was a large table seated next to us on the upper level, and we were separated by a decorative fence. When that party left, a girl came to quickly clear the table and set it up for a new party. She slammed (very loudly) a stack of about 10 menus right next to me. To top it off, there was a man who approached our table only to scream over us to the girl on the other side of our table. She started to shout back to him - it was very rude! Immediately after, I mentioned to my husband how horrible the restaurant was and that we weren't coming back. My husband agreed, and a gentleman approached us mentioning he overheard us. He was very friendly and asked what was wrong. I mentioned about the drinks, but that the food was okay (we were enjoying the brownie/ice cream). He tried to offer us another drink, but would they really be any better? We insisted we were fine, but then my husband asked to send back his irish coffee. The waiter offered a latte instead, to which we agreed. Overall, our experience wasn't that great. We weren't impressed with the food or drinks so probably won't be back. As someone previously mentioned, there are plenty of restaurants in the area that are worth trying.
This was a comped meal on account so it was 4 of us from work looking for relaxation. On my arrival, I noticed the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere. A pretty waitress (blondie) escorted me near the bar. People were leaning against the top floor railing, listening to the music. At the bar, a few men were watching the game. Very few women at the bar. The walls were painted red and decorated with paintings of New Orleans musicians. Too bad the guy behind the bar was a man. Anyway, at the table when co-workers arrived I ordered Alligator tail and the crawfish. Five minutes later, the waitress (not pretty this one) brought me the alligator tail. I thought it was delicious, though. The dish came with their house sauce. Anyway, the drinks were pretty good and the wine menu was abundant, food delicious and the waitresses not bad (could be dressed hotter) and we were satisfied. They have good food and drinks and a couple of nice waitresses. Will be back
