Influential English textile artist William Morris said you should have nothing in your home that is not useful or beautiful. When you step into the Craft Ontario Shop in Yorkville, you just know you’re going to find both.
The shelves are full of exquisite ceramics and glassware, while one-of-a-kind accessories and textiles grab your attention. Limited edition prints and stone sculptures that tell a story in their lines and curves intrigue. Each piece in the shop tells a story not only of the object itself but of the craftsperson who made the piece. “Craft is made to enhance daily life and we are here to make that accessible,” says retail manager Yusun Ha. “We have a diverse collection of Canadian craft and Inuit & Native art from over 300 craftspeople and artists with 82 years of history and expertise.”
