Gabby's is a 235-seat, full service restaurant and bar on Bloor Street and features a polished new design, a 35-foot bar, a private party room for 50 on our lower level and a Bloor Street patio viewing the Royal Ontario Museum.
The food was a bit disappointing. Fish tacos batter was greasier and killed the flavour of the fish. Calamari were greasy but cooked well so not rubbery. Garlic aioli sauce lacked garlic flavour. Comrades said their meat for steak burger was tough. A medium rare order was well done. Service was excellent. Atmosphere nice although being in back was a bit dark to read menus and see each other.
Excellent meal.
Service was great - waitress was fun and checked on us every so often to see how we were doing.
Food? Delicious! My burger was great, and the rest of my family thought good of the restaurant as well.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The old-fashioned chalkboard written deals and combos scattered across the restaurant felt like good-old home.
I tell you all, this is my new FAVORITE place to eat. I had a bite of chicken fingers, too -- HeAvEnLy!
If you decide to dine here, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!
Let me tell you something, I don't hand out 5 stars like candy, but this place really deserves it. Well done, Gabby's!
