The Crown and Dragon isn’t your average pub. Owner Mike Weger has always been inspired by Asian cuisine and was eager to incorporate some of the exotic flavours into the traditional pub grub on the menu. Since opening in 2004, his inventive chicken wings have become a local legend.
“I really love experimenting with new flavours, especially with the wings,” Mike explains. “We’ve won a number of awards and I feel that’s because of the risks we’ve been willing to take in the kitchen. We want to showcase the flavours of the world, alongside Asian influences and other European pub favourites.”
The pub’s comfortable and casual atmosphere caters to the after work crowd and there are also plenty of TVs scattered throughout to attract local sports fans. “One challenge is that we have had to prove ourselves and that we hold a special place in the neighbourhood,” says Mike. “I think we have worked hard to become a destination spot. We thought long and hard about what was missing in the area, and we noticed a deficit in pub food.”

A meal in itself! Rice noodles,
vegetables, green onion and a fried
egg simmered in chicken broth.
Have it as is, or personalize it by adding

balls, shrimp wontons or vegetable

great food, great service and normal prices. a great place all around
best pub in Toronto hands down. The food is always great, the wait staff friendly and the environment - exactly what you're looking for when going for some beers/food with friends.
Ever since Crown and Dragon opened, I've been going there for pints, fries, chicken wings and fish and chips. Bar none, they have the best pub style fish and chips. Although, be warned, 2 pieces gets you two giant slabs of fish and unless you have an abnormally large appetite there's no way you'll finish it all. Everything there is a hit. Highly recommend, go go go!

Crown & Dragon is known for its wing nights, which happen three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday)! Dragon Wings, as they’re known, are available in a whopping 18 sauces. All the sauces are made in-house and include classics like Dragon’s Breath, hot and peppery and non-traditional options like Classic Coke, made with cola for a sweet and sticky finish.
