We bet you didn't know that the name Sandylion is a combination of the names of Sandy and Lionel Waldman. Sandy and Lionel were printing custom labels for a variety of products in 1979 when on a trip to California they saw novelty stickers depicting hearts, bears, pigs, stars etc. They were so excited at the concept of a sticker being a product in itself that within two years they launched Sandylion Sticker Designs combining their names to create a name they knew would resonate with children and adults alike.
