Disappointing

Ended up here for lunch after we found our favourite spot closed. Service was poite and quick enough, decor was interesting-a lot to look at with a nautical theme. We split an order of crab stuffed mushrooms to start. The mushrooms were watery and undercooked and the filling was bland bland bland. Tasted mostly of potato with my pet peeve added-that flavoured pollock that restaurants insist on billing as crab. I couldn't find a hint of crab taste in them and left mine uneaten. To the servers credit she asked if they were OK, we said they were not and told her why and they were removed from our bill. Next came my onion...ooops I mean lobster sandwich. Although it was real lobster there was so much onion in it that was the only thing I could taste, it would have been better with a lot less onion and a bit more mayo and seasoning, for the price of lobster I'd like to taste something other than onion. My friends lobster quesadilla was OK she said, I tasted it and agreed...just OK, nothing special. Another meal I could have made better at home.....sigh.....

Best Long Island Ice Tea EVER!!

Had seen this place from time to time, since I sometimes go through the Port on business and loved the comfortable charm it presented. This summer after a day of cherry picking, we ended up in Port Dalhousie and Murphy's seemed like the place to try. We were so thirsty! They did the Long Island Ice Tea ... to a tee, and the food was fantastic. We had the surf and turf and a daily special and no one was disappointed. We loved the atmosphere inside and enjoyed the patio for dinner that day. But this would be a very cosy visit for the winter months too! We will definitely be back!

Will not be back. Went for a small birthday party of 6 people. Server had an attitude right from the start. Might have had a bad day. It took an hour for our food to come and i think we were 6 of 10 people in the whole place. Food was terrible. Some plates overcooked some undercooked all were cold. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst meals out I've ever had. Luckily I was with good people or this would have been a complete disaster.

I have been here a number of times as I live in the area and have not been happy with service or having to wait so long for a table. Thought I'd try it again and still same issues so I won't be back!
