I love this place, always a great experience. The food is always good and the staff are always pleasant. Far superior then their competition across the road!
I have been to Champs many times for burgers, and they are great, but I really love pork souvlaki and I noticed they had it on the menu. I wasn't really expecting to much because it is a hamburger joint, was I surprised , it was delicious melt in your mouth tender. It was better than any greek restaurant I have eaten. They should add more greek items to their menu.
The burgers were not bad--not too much flavour in the meat, but a good size, and cooked just right. I didn't care for the pickles, and pickles are my favourite condiment on a burger, so that was a disappointment. The fish on a bun was listed on the menu board for $7.99, but we were charged $9.99. When we went back to correct the error, we were informed that the price had gone up and that we should have been told when placing our order, which of course we hadn't been, or we would never have ordered it. $9.99 is an insane price for fish on a bun (not a combo--just the sandwich). No refund was given for their mistake, either. We won't be back.
We just had our second visit to Champ Burger and it was a great as the first. The burgers are tasty and big. My husband had the onion rings which are crispy and a decent sized order. I had the fries and gravy with my burger. This is such yummy gravy that in taste took me back to a restaurant I used to visit in my hometown. I thought I would never taste it again. Also the best milkshakes too. All with a delightful 50's diner theme. Quick and accurate too!
