My choice to have a career in the construction industry started when I was quite young. I grew up surrounded by 2 x 4's, hard hats and all kinds of construction equipment and materials. Since my dad was a contractor, draftsman and cabinet maker, it just seemed natural to me that I would, at some point in my life, be a part of this industry. I loved to watch my father work, especially when he was drafting up new plans. When he was out working on a job site, I would go into his office and pretend to design spaces.
