I called to get costs for a cat urinary obstruction and they told me there was no time to call around for quotes, it was a life-threatening emergency. When I called back to make an appt the answering machine stated to bring the pet in if it was an emergency. I sent my son-in-law who was told he didn't have an appointment, the vets were busy, the earliest they could see the cat was the next day. Awful uncaring response to a "life-threatening" problem. My business goes elsewhere!
My name is Kathy Marchildon, I’m a veterinarian and the owner of Lake County Animal Hospital. I cannot tell you how sorry I am that this happened. This incident was a grave miscommunication on the part of one of my staff, I have since dealt with the issue to ensure that in future, there is no confusion as to what would happen in a similar situation. I know that this doesn’t make up for what happened, but I can assure you it won’t happen again. Our pet parents and their animals mean the world to us, and I wish you and your cat the very best in health, for many years to come
