I have visited Grecos many times since...

I have visited Grecos many times since discovering it about 12 years ago. It is simply my favorite restaurant in the world! Great food, waiters that are friendly, knowledgable, and fast, and great prices! Not to mention a very cozy ambience, and good wines at good prices. I have turned many friends on to this place, and they have come to love it as well. In fact, six of my buds are dining there tonight on their way from Ithaca, NY to Belleville, Ontario to play adult hockey.

Simply put, this is the best restaurant in Kingston when it comes to quality and value. I discovered it when I did my masters with my (now) wife at Queen's University. It has the best Greek cuisine in town. It has a great atmosphere (it's a little cozy because it can get really busy - reservations are recommended on Friday night for sure). The service can best be described as "boisterous". And the prices are far lower than similar quality food at other places, ie. not frightening to poor students. Before dinner, instead of just bread and butter, you are served an interesting Greek "cracker" with an amazing garlic pink spread thing that I think is actually fish-based, but it's really good.

This restaurant is awesome. I love the atmosphere and the food is amazing. I usually get the veggie dish, which comes with rice and potatoes and is absolutely amazing. Their greek salad is also very good. One suggestion: Do not get their food for take-out - I have done this twice and find that their salad tastes pretty bad. For the best greek experience, dine in.

I was a little sceptical at first because I'm used to having Greek in Toronto on the Danforth and wasn't sure how good Greek food could be in a smaller city. BUT, The food was incredible! I would rather go to Grecos than any Greek restaurant in T.O. And the service matches their food...good quality!!!! I was impressed and would recommend Grecos to anyone! Take it from me...as a cook and one who loves to eat, Grecos is fanstastic all around - good food, good service and good prices!
