I do not recommend wasting your time going to this store. First time we went we picked out a couch and a rug. When we went to pick up our items they sold the rug we had ordered and had to pick another. Not even 6 months of having the couch we had to return due to poor quality. We got store credit so had to pick another one. Upon loading the second couch they put two dents into our new truck and said their is nothing they can do. Gave us a 1800 # to call. Situation handled very poorly.
I am very dissatisfied with the product and customer service,and warranty they offer. We bought a foe leather couch at 1 year the stitching let go on one seat, then at 2 years the same issue as well as cracking and peeling we submitted in early 2020 waited 4 months and were declined and local store in Calgary did not help, just said nothing we can do. we had paid for ext warranty but warrantor wouldt cover? see the before and after from last claim, last time we buy from there these are 4 months.

I’ve shopped at surplus many times, from sofas to mattresses. Each time we were well taken care of by the staff, and by the manager Scott! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and their managers very professional.

We lost our home and all our furniture in the fire on Little Ave this year. Thankfully Scott at Surplus Furniture was very helpful and generous the amazing deals he gave my son and I.Im so grateful, for such amazing people in our city.Great Store and awsome employees.
I purchased a mattress box set from them in 2015 it came with 7 year warranty, when I contacted to redeem my warranty because the mattress is sunken in more than 2 inches in 2 years. They took 8 weeks to respond and than accused me of literally pushing the mattress down 2 inches with nothing but my tape measure I used to show them the wear. They now refuse to cover my warranty, I will not be back and would not recommend them to anyone. Worst furniture store I’ve ever dealt with. Local to Barrie

The worst place ever, I went all the way to Barrie Surplus (they need to change their name as stock is always low)looking specifically for a love seat withthe drink holder in the middle and saw one the girl there said there was one left . I then said i would be back had to go to the bank downtown get cash.They deliveredasofa not the reclining love seat now yelling at me cause he said i said sofa i wansnt even dealing with him to begin with $1042 plus 115 cash delivered Oct 8/16
Terrible service. Guy in there kept shoving us, trying to force us to buy the more expensive options when we told him we were just looking. Literally non-stop pestering. When we told him we weren't planning on buying that day he literally said "Come on, just buy something." Nice sales pitch dude. Don't go here.
The staff was amazing. We ordered basically all of our house furniture from Surplus. When we order our daughters bunk bed it took almost 2 months for them to deliver it and every week we called they said it was on its way. That was a lie obviously. About a month after getting our kitchen table and chairs the screws started falling out and now the nuts also are also starting to fall out. Of course the warranty only covers 30 days after the products are purchased so now we waster $300 on a table and chairs that are not even safe to use. Really disappointed with the products. I guess if te price is cheap the products also are cheap. Not worth your money. Next time we will spend the extra to get safe furniture
Firstly, the staff seemed to be very nice and not pushy at all. This was the main reason we chose to purchase our living room furniture there. ordered on nov 9 was to arrive no later than dec15. Well big surprise we never received furniture and apparently was discontinued on its way to the store?..got a different story on each phone call. Big waste of time dealing with this company.
