Tried to call customer service Re: an order for pick up. They had me on hold for 10 minutes and then phone rang for a full 10 minutes before anyone picked up. There is no customer service at this store.

I use this store and the one in Langford as my go-to home repair and maintenance store. I actually dont always know exactly what Im looking for but most of the staff can figure out what would be helpful in my situation. Its not a drive through, get in get out in ten minutes - kinda store, but I dont know a hardware store that is. I refuse to use the automated checkouts though. Maybe thats why less staff. Bring back more staff. Great place!
We went in today to return a defective elecrical item and to purchase another drapery panel. Neither of these items were displaced and on enquiring at the help desk we were informed that indeed there were 4 of the drapery panels and 2 of the electrical items. We waited over 40 mins by the desk for someone to come and help to find these elusive items but no-one ever did appear. They called for electicdal and home decor staff 3 times. Won't go there again
One store representative gave me precise details to find what I was looking for. Another representative helped me to figure out what attachment would work with bathtub spout. Both were political and very helpful.
The quality of customer service has been declining. Depending on who I get to talk to I get different answers for the same or similar request. Some staff members seem to work really hard to NOT help you. It is uneven, though. While the customer service group is a zoo, I have always had great service at the painting and appliances department, even though you can see that they are understaffed.
WORST customer service on the planet. Most unhelpful, un knowledgeable group of employees - very consistent with this at all of their stores I've been to spanning many provinces. I've had other customers help me find things better and explain things better than their own employees.
Probably the worst customer service i've had from any company in a very long time. Purchased a washer and dryer and the associate sold the wrong parts and also missed adding in a crucial kit. Installers came and couldn't do anything. Spent 4 hours of my Saturday running out to get the stacking kit for another company as Home Depot didn't have it in stock and dealing with very poor customer service of bouncing us around. I also now have to take time off during the work week to have the install
Always under-staffed and some of the younger staff members clearly don't have a clue about retail customer service. Nothing like as good service as you get at the Millstream location.
