Bul Go Gi

I have had dinner at this restaurant for 33 years, the previous owners were wonderful as are the owners now. The food is exceptional and the menu continues to be what I have enjoyed over the years. There is no Korean restaurant that I have experienced that compares to Bul Go Gi, and I sincerely hope they stay in business for a long time. We enjoy all dishes but continue over the years to pick our favourites: Deep fried Wontons, Mountain Vegetables, bbque chicken, spicy pork chop and always, Bul Go Gi!

A standard

The Bul Go Gi house has been around for decades and one of the reasons is because they give you good value, good service and great food. Kimchee, Goon Man doo, Bee Bim Barb and of course Bul Go Gi all great dishes. I learned to like stuff I would have never tried any other place. Plus I am a big water drinker (8-cups/day ya know) and they provide a pitcher for easy access. No having to bother the waiter or waiting forever to get their attention. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

Muy picante! Edmonton spots with spicy dishes

Muy picante! Edmonton spots with spicy dishes

This authentic Korean restaurant has been creating spicy dishes since 1973, when it first opened its doors in Edmonton. All of the hot pot soups are quite fiery; customers can request for a milder heat, if they prefer. The deep fried chicken comes covered in a sweet and spicy sauce that is the perfect blend of the two flavours. Spicy definitely dominates here; it’s harder to find a mild dish than one that will set your taste buds on fire.

Open since 1973, this was the first Korean restaurant in Edmonton. Try beef with shrimp and vegetable soup (so-go-gi-jun-gol), Korean style BBQ or spicy pork with kimchi and vegetables
