Allegro offers a completely separate concept with a warm, intimate restaurant featuring the best dishes. You can refer to our menus for a list of dishes available at Allegro.
I lived in Rome for five years growing up and the food at Allegro is of the same quality and in many cases better than the cuisine in Rome. The Cannelloni is the best I have ever had. The rack of lamb rates 10 out of 10. I just returned from two weeks in Italy and was disappointed in the quality of food in many of the local restaurants. I am looking forward to going back to Allegro for an great meal.
Downtown’s Allegro Italian Kitchen serves up a delectable version of lasagna made with savoury, milk-fed veal and marinara sauce. And, portions are big enough to take leftovers home with you so you can eat it again for lunch the next day!
A three-course Italian feast awaits you at Allegro. Begin with buffalo mozzarella with avocado, vine ripe tomatoes and roasted peppers, tossed in extra virgin olive oil and a balsamic reduction or Insalata Allegro, made with mixed greens, pine nuts, raisins, feta cheese and tomatoes, drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. For the main course, choose between Veal Pizzaiola with capers, oregano, crushed chili peppers in a marinara sauce with penne pasta and veggies or Pollo Limone, featuring pan-seared chicken and tiger prawns in a lemon and butter white wine sauce, served over butter cheese risotto and vegetables. For dessert, enjoy classic tiramisu.
Dinner begins with a choice between classic Caesar salad and Insalata Mista, with mixed greens, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion and balsamic vinaigrette. For the entrée, savour parmigiana, with a choice between veal or chicken. Both are breaded in-house and baked with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, and served with vegetables and penne in a tomato sauce. Dessert is an Italian classic: tiramisu, made in-house.
