Tradewest offers a number of alternatives to companies of every size and description with assets which must be valued or sold.
Good items - especially on antique auction nights. Very pleasant and professional staff. Sometimes auctions are a bit slow but that seems to be because people want something for nothing.
Staff are honest with silent bids ...have bid both ways and am happy with the outcome usually.
Parking is a bit of a problem.
I am an experienced bidder and have been attending auctions almost 30 years. Big Valley is one of the nicer ones. Suspect some of the negative comments are from rival auction places.

Family run business that had ethics morales fair and made the experience a happy and learning one I see the business was sold to Able auction and the new owners have made or added it to a coglamerate which is good for them and other dealers and businesses the price range is 90% of the time out of my reach with the exception of a 10% tile. If you pay to much for a car here it's your own fault . Do your research set a price and don't get attached to any car . There are lots to pick from . If you don't know anything about cars bring someone that you can trust to help you . I have bought many cars here over the years and some are better than others but most have run well for the price payed
