I lived close by New Lakeview over 15 years ago and was a frequent diner both in and for take-out. I recently moved back to the area and was happy to see that nothing had changed. (unfortunately not even the pink walls) Although the decor leaves something to be desired the food does not fall short. I rate their Singapore noodles as the best I have ever tasted. (better than in Singapore!) The prices are low and servings are generous. The won-ton soup is excellent and they feature fresh crab dishes with a variety of sauces. We were a party of 14 and sat in the main restaurant area. The service was excellent. We brought our own wine and paid a low corkage fee. No hard liquor allowed of your own! Our host ordered a set menu and additional dishes. All items were prepared well and tasty excellent. My only comment would be there was two times where the individualized food plates came out too soon and I was still working on my previous dish so the table got crowded.
