There is a science to cooking pasta right, you cant just throw everything in a pan and cook it. You can tell they take their time with each dish, and it just tastes magnificent. Decided to try Zola's breakfast again...it was excellent. I had breakfast several months previously and did not find it very good. However this visit was excellent. I had the breakfast special...two eggs over easy with sausage and homefries. The eggs and sausage were very good. The home fries are at least equal to any I have tasted in the city. breakfast come with a fabulous fresh fruit cup and a rosemary spiced grilled tomatoe and great artisan ancient grain bread. Of course, it was the eleventh hour when I called and tried to make an evening reservation on Valentine’s Day. And, of course, like everyone else they were completely booked but they did call me back and I was so happy that they could squeeze us in. We enjoyed the best meal we could have hoped for. The house red (forget the varietal) was so perfectly pared with the shrimp appetizer, Gamberi Di Amaretto. And the chardonnay was lovely with the escargots. Our entrees were equally delicious and in spite of the fact that it was a very busy evening for Napoli’s, the food arrived at our table fresh and hot and the service was perfect. Water glasses were always topped up and we were never left unattended for long. The servers were very friendly and approachable and it all made for a fantastic dining experience. We also didn’t feel over-crowded in this ‘full-to-capacity’ restaurant. Our table provided plenty of elbow room and the table conversation was easy to hear in spite of people. We were very comfortable and happy to be enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. We can’t wait to have dinner at Napoli’s again. Read more

There are few restaurants in Ottawa that understand this disease fully but Robert has FANTASTIC gluten-free pasta available and staff are fully aware of the do's and don'ts for us. Last evening I had a meal of Caprese Salad - dressing perfect, not cloying; Pasta Beata (chicken, artichoke, peppers and a white wine dijon cream sauce - DIVINE!) followed by fig and port tartufo. I am a celiac and I just discovered this restaurant! When you walk in they ask if you need a gluten free menu which is something I’ve never been asked before. They have an amazing variety of options for gluten free. The service was insanely good and there was nothing but an evening filled with laughs and a great environment.
