The Keg has always had a special place in my heart. The atmosphere and service is spectacular and the food is to die for. From the soft, warm buttered bread they give you before ordering, to the steaks and the decadent desserts, be prepared and come with an empty stomach. I've recently expanded my culinary cuisine from boring vegetarianism (what was I thinking?) to include pizza, seafood, and now alligator! The Red Piano is a total experience from the ambiance to the knowledgeable staff to the duelling pianos... I felt like I could actually be in New Orleans! I even expected someone to hand me beads but of course that didn't happen :D It's such a classy place and a wonderful date night for my and my boyfriend. I ordered the Alligator Popcorn to start which was tender, crunchy and super flavourful!! Lots of spices, lots of yummy taste! My entree was the Crab Mac & Cheese which paired quite nicely with the wine I was having. I almost passed on dessert but what fun would that have been?! So I shared the Junkfood Platter with my boyfriend and we ended up taking most of it home to the kids because there was SO much dessert! What a truly perfect evening for us! We will totally be back! I've eaten both a catered meal by Nak for Catering and stopped in for lunch at their Bistro. The Bistro is like a best-kept secret tucked away in the west end of the city. Their food is fresh and innovative, and the specials are always changing. The catered meal was also delicious. There was no shortage of food to go around, a great variety of appetizers and entrees, and the food was hot and fresh. I had no complaints with my experience with this company! This place is unique as far as burger joints go. It's quite hip and happening.. the place is dark and has quite modern-style lighting which makes it more of a bar/lounge than a burger place. We went on a Friday or Thursday night .. there was a DJ with a mixer playing tunes, in a place that serves "fast food", how cool is that?! The food is great, with an above average quality burger. They serve Kobe beef, selection of regular or sweet potato fries that come in a mini shopping cart, and they give you cotton candy after your meal. Everything about this place is cool. A+ for originality. If you're just looking for a quick and typical burger with no atmosphere, you'll find Delux overpriced. There aren't many fully vegan places to eat here in Edmonton. I was beyond stoked to find another. And this place is seriously cool. Interior decor was so neat. And the food was literally to die for. Vegan chicken and waffles on the brunch menu was so so good. Every single person working there was so happy to be there. you could feel the pride they felt just from working there.
