You don’t need to wait for a special occasion to plan a night out (or a fun outing at a restaurant between family members or friends. Why not mix the two groups? For this, you’ll need establishments capable of hosting your entire group. Here are some suggestions. (And don’t forget to tip!)
This Mont Royal Avenue bistro welcomes groups of 10 or more people and offers a three-course menu for $40, four courses for $55 and $70 for five courses. All menus are subject to change “depending on the catch.” Please note that you must make a deposit when booking for groups.

The main dining area of this restaurant located at the corner of Papineau and Ontario can accommodate up to 120 people. The menus that are specially prepared for groups range between $35 and $45, including a variety of delicious appetizers to create a warm welcome. Vegetarians and those who follow gluten-free diets have not been left out thanks to a selection of dishes especially designed for them.
Take a little tour with the chef of Europea, Jérôme Ferrer. His tartare alone is worth the trip. Enjoy seasonal products or weekend brunches in a space that can accommodate up to 165 people. And don’t forget to impose tartare on all of the guests. It is a must, and proof that you love them.
Sushi – gotta love it or hate it. Why not visit this restaurant as a family and demand that your old uncle finally try sushi, despite his reluctance? At Miso, at the corner of Atwater and Sainte-Catherine West, they combine maki, nigiri, sashimi and hosomaki. Does your uncle still need convincing? The tables d'hote (set meals served at a fixed price) and main courses will hit the spot. Give him some sake.
Play tourist and have a look at Gaspar, in the Old Montreal area. Groups of more than 50 people can rent the entire space. Otherwise, a reception room (at the hotel next door) is available to welcome you. A special menu allows you to choose four starters, four main courses and two desserts! Groups of 20 to 40 people are encouraged to make their own menu.
