Recently overhauled on a popular reality television program, Frankie’s is not new, but more than 30 years old. Its bright white and minimalist decor still retains a certain retro charm that hints at the original design. The burgers are large, with a selection of patties from basic ground beef to a blend of chuck. The fries are hand-cut, but you could go with the beer-battered onion rings.
This boutique hotel might be known for its seasonally inspired fare and ever-changing art exhibitions, but the classic burger has remained a true constant on the menu for over 10 years. The eponymous Drake burger features a 6 oz patty made with dry-aged beef from local butcher Cumbrae’s. The meaty patty is topped with Perth bacon, aged cheddar and Russian dressing and served on a melt-in-your-mouth soft milk bun.
