This upscale vegetarian bistro’s Sunday brunches take inspiration from local, seasonal ingredients. Fancy and fresh, artfully plated egg-free items include a skillet with confit potato and autumn vegetable hash, and the always delightful Begger’s Banquet, which pairs seasonal vegetables with herbs and surprise “goodies” from nearby farms.
Heirloom’s comforting, egg-free breakfasts will make you feel cozy and warm all morning long – especially if you’re seated near the large fireplace. Among the menu’s many vegan dishes, the Mexican-inpisred tofu Huevos Rancheros is a must-have: scrambled eggs are swapped for tofu, which is grilled, smashed and served over tortillas with guacamole, pico de gallo, and other fixings.
Only empty stomachs are permitted to enter this beloved Southern breakfast spots; plates here are more like platters, and they arrive overflowing. Given the diner vibes, meat and dairy are featured heavily here. That said, one dish can be modified, and it’s among the best on the menu: the chicken fried steak with hash browns and toast can be ordered without eggs on the side. And you won’t regret it.
On weekends, this Mediterranean café is one of the busiest restaurants in the downtown core, if not in all of Vancouver. The most authentically Mediterranean, and deliciously egg-free, dish has to be the cous cous, topped with oven dried tomatoes, roasted eggplant, almonds and grilled halloumi cheese, all served with a side salad. Perfection!

It’s a simple, healthy dish that can be lingered over throughout the morning or chowed down during a quick pit-stop en route to the office.
