Trade Grade Painting needed a website that could bring in local leads and show their work. Their old site was non-existent; just an email and a phone number.
We built a WordPress website for this Winnipeg painting business in under 72 hours. The new site is fast, mobile-friendly, and optimized for local SEO. It ranks for “Winnipeg painters,” loads in under 2 seconds, and is easy for the client to update.

Actiwork provides industrial workspace systems, including workbenches and workshop infrastructure. Their old website was slow, hard to update, and poorly structured for search engines. Basic tasks took too long to complete, and product information was buried in PDFs. The design did not reflect the quality of their products. The internal team could not manage content without outside help.
The Solution
We rebuilt the entire website using Elementor Pro. We kept the design lean, with clean layouts and purposeful motion. The backend was structured for modular editing. This gave the internal team full control over content. We integrated WooCommerce with a plan for future product-based SEO. Industry pages were redesigned as flexible landing hubs. These pages now connect to related blog posts, case studies, and product categories.
Project Goals
- Give Control: Make the site editable by Actiwork’s team without outside developers.
- Improve Performance: Remove unnecessary plugins and slow code to improve speed.
- Boost SEO: Structure the site to support long-term search visibility and clean indexing.
We also resolved email and DNS issues that had blocked communication. A new brand kit was developed and matched to the site design. The site now loads more than 50% faster. Lighthouse scores are consistently in the high 90s. Remaining speed limits are due to the external server, which was outside our control.

Our Process
Every website is built by Nolan, the founder of FunkPd. He has worked with WordPress since 2006. FunkPd was launched in 2017 to deliver stable websites for trades and industry. All work is completed in-house. We do not outsource or hire contractors.
This process has been used to rebuild websites for clients in Canada, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Projects include Minetek, Actiwork, and Honeymoon Backpackers. Each website is optimized for search. Every build is mobile-ready, fast, and fully owned by the client. We do not use locked themes or add unnecessary subscriptions.
