Dr. Murray McLeod graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1986 and joined the practice of Drs. Forristal and Psutka in 1987. Dr. McLeod completed the Ocular Therapeutics course at Northeastern State University of Oklahoma in 2009 and in 2011 he founded Sunningdale Optometry where he still practices at both locations. Dr. McLeod practices full scope optometry with special interest in ocular disease management and contact lens fitting. When not working, Dr. McLeod enjoys skiing, travel, and golf. He is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Association of Optometry and the Ontario College of Optometrists.

Dr. Catherine Walden is originally from Castlegar, British Columbia and is happy to now call London, Ontario her home. She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Victoria in 2007. She then graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry. Dr. Walden has proudly practiced at the Sunningdale location since it first opened in 2011. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Dr. Walden is dedicated to providing her patients of all ages with the highest quality of eye care. She values the importance of providing all her patients with a thorough eye examination, utilizing modern technology and treatments, and incorporating patient education. She enjoys working with her patients to help improve their vision with glasses, contact lenses and co-management of laser vision correction. Dr. Walden is passionate about all aspects of eye care and has a special interest in pediatrics and myopia management as well as ocular diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. In her spare time, Dr. Walden enjoys photography, yoga, ballet, and spending time with her husband, daughter and son.

Dr. Avery Fitzgerald earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario before attending the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston MA, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree. She graduated NECO as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK) honor society. During her time at NECO she was an active member and later President of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) student club. She also earned a spot in NECO’s pediatric concentration program, which provided her additional opportunities to work with pediatrics. She had the opportunity to train and gain experience working with many different populations through externships at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Newington Connecticut Veterans Affairs Hospital, the NECO Center for Eye Care Commonwealth – including in their Myopia Control and Vision Therapy clinics – and community health centers in Massachusetts. Dr. Fitzgerald practices full scope optometry for all ages, with special interests in pediatrics, binocular vision disorders, and ocular disease. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Having grown up throughout many parts of Ontario, she is happy to be back and seeing patients in her home province.
