Had the Seafood Paella, it was amazing and ate the whole dish! Service was excellent, friendly, courteous and professional. I look forward to coming back and trying all the other dishes with family and friends.

Relax and try it!

If you have been to Spain, I think you need to get that out of your head to enable you to enjoy your experience here. The food is Spanish however it is unique to the chef. Fresh food is used and according to our host, who chatted with us extensively, all home made on the premises. Our server was not Spanish which was a bit disappointing but the owner was very welcoming. We had a variety of dishes which well and truly filled us for $90. This included extra bread, 1 glass of wine and 2 non-alcholic drinks. Quite reasonable I believe. There is probably too much on the menu so you need a lot of time to read it. Our potato dish, rich dish and shrimp dish were great. The soup was also very tasty. Eggplant dish turned out to be a bit too greasy for us. We had to leave before the entertainment so I cannot comment on that but will stay for it next time!

Awesome

On my initial visit to casa barcelona, my wife, dragged me t. Isaid "I'm not going to like this stuff and I won't pay for it". Wow! It knocked my socks off. Even before we left, I was planning to come back within a week.
Since that day 2 years ago, my wife & I have eaten at casa barcelona numerous times. I admit that this place may not be for everybody. If you look for pastas and tiramisu, in your restaurants, stay in woodbridge or highPark
area.
However, if you like great tasting food, this is the place for you. The bonus is the incredibly reasonable prices. 9 and 10 dollars tapas We have never had a bad meal there. We are hard pressed to pick our favorite dishes because there just are too many.
If you like meat or [ SUCKLING PIG ]pork, they have it. If you like seafood, they have some of the best. If you like vegetarian they have it too.
Now you can't beat that. Great food, Great Host and Chef.

Whole Lotta Tapas!

My family of 4 dined at Casa Barcelona on a Saturday night, reservations for 7:30. The whole idea of the restaurant is to serve you tapas, i.e. Spanish appetizers, as your entire meal. Think of a saucer or a dessert plate- that's about the size of each one. We chose 12 different ones (each of us chose 3, which was fun). All tapas are $10 each. There are literally hundreds of tapas to choose from, some being lovely, tasty and definitely not something you could easily make in your kitchen. However, some were quite ordinary and not at all "fancy" or special. That's the source of some of the bad reviews I've read - it's a roll of the dice unless you know the menu well. The wait staff was satisfactorily attentive, the food came quickly, although not all at once, which made some in my party feel rushed, as people kept appearing at our elbows removing plates and setting others down. All the drinks were generous. The restaurant could REALLY do with a makeover, as the decor is totally tacky and dated. However, the 2 live flamenco dancers at 8:30 made up for it. Overall it was an interesting evening and everyone left feeling full and pleased.

I went to Casa Barcelona on Valentine's Day with my wife. The food was very good and the staff was very courteous with us. We had an extremely good red house wine which was 3/4 litres for $26. What a bargain! We tried one of the combinations that was offered that night which gave us the chance to try the beef, fish, poultry, vegetables and the most famous of Spanish dishes - the Paella. I must admit that the dessert took a little longer than I expected, but when I tried it, it was definitely worth the wait. It was a busy night at Casa Barcelona and well worth the visit. My sister-in-law was right that this place was worth it.
