The sit-down experience at Mercato is unlike any other sit-down experience you may or may not have had. And that goes whether you're at the surrounding Italian style counter, or your own personal table. Everything you order here is made fresh, using ingredients from our market. The open kitchen atmosphere (with our big Italian stoves front and centre) is loud and vibrant. When you dine at Mercato, interaction with our chefs and other customers is as common as the bread and oil you'll find at your table.
Mercato West does have both the Restaurant and the Pizzevino available for two different dining experiences. The Pizzevino is open for walk-ins only and does not take reservations. The Restaurant is open daily at 5:30pm and reservations are recommended.more...See more text
I had the worst experience today. Ordered a dish and did not like it at all, had one bite only. Paid full amount. Poor hospitality. No one followed up with me as I sat with the family and had no dinner. The dish was not well prepared by chef. I did not expect this from a restaurant like this. Seriously when you are with family and experience something like this it's not good. Greatly disappointed !
Thanksgiving is all about family, friends and comfort food, and what cuisine is more social and comforting than Italian? Upscale in a cheerful and accessible way, Mercato West on 85th Street Southwest serves big, bold Italian dishes. Expect expertly crafted rustic Italian food in a sociable setting made for sipping wine and sharing food. The restaurant’s open kitchen is part of the fun as you watch succulent steak (try the bistecca alla fiorentina) and whole fish grilled to perfection and house-made pastas prepared with flair. Open Saturday and Sunday, Thanksgiving weekend.
A bigger but equally boisterous second location of Fourth Street Southwest’s much-loved Mercato, Mercato West on 85th Street SW serves big, bold and sharable Italian dishes including house-made pastas in a fun and sociable setting.
In true Italian style, the Mercato dinner menu is created with shared plates in mind. For example, dig into some bruschetta or a caprese salad made with buffalo mozzarella, then tear into the tiger prawn risotto. The restaurant’s two locations (Fourth Street Southwest as well as 85th Street Southwest) each feature a market stcoked with fine Italian foods.
