“My goal is to simply help people, to contribute to their well-being,” says a candid Raffi Yaranossian, massage therapist, member of the Canadian Association of Therapists in Complementary Medicine (ACTMD), Reiki master, and founder of ReiZen, a studio where well-being is king. “I provide my clients with Swedish and Californian massages, and I always make sure to adapt my style to their needs and conditions; some people have tensions that are more pressing and specific than others.”
Raffi also practises Reiki, an ancestral Japanese technique based on the circulation of energy throughout the body. “It’s a highly effective and beneficial method, it is deeply relaxing and transformative,” he says, noting that it is one of ReiZen’s more popular offerings.
“What attracted me to this field is basically the possibility of helping people in different ways. A lot of people live their lives under constant pressure; nowadays sources of stress are varied and plentiful and they have a deleterious effect on quality of life, so I made it my mission to relieve my clients of this burden in some way,” Raffi explains.
