I've had the curried rice probably over 80 times in my life at the Huether, and when done correctly, is excellent. This day, my rice dish tasted like powdered curry was just spilt over the food- it was gritty and bitter to taste. When asked to make a new one, they just made a new sauce and tried to mix it all up together again, which was ineffective and tasted worse. I felt disinclined to complain further, because I know the owner makes the server pay for kitchen mistakes.
There are 2 or 3 really amazing and attentive servers in the Lion Brewery, and all the others are, sorry to put it rudely, but really really bad at what they do. My partner and I have vowed never to go there again because the service is almost always below par, but we keep coming back because when the Morrocan curry rice dish is done well, its absolutely excellent.
If you ever go to the patio in the summer, upstairs, be prepared to remain sober- the service is that slow. And it's not the server's faults per se, they are just under-staffed and overworked. I guess you save money that way when running a business

My fiancee and I dine out often, especially for saturday morning breafast. We ate in the cafe part as we were unaware that there was a dining room. Coffee was overpriced with no refills. Our food came out slow, my eggs were underdone, potatoes cold and not even half cooked and sausages burnt. This is the worst breafast, or meal at all that I have ever experienced when dining out, will never return.
