Amie developed an interest in Dentistry at a young age encouraged by her late father's career as a Dentist. Amie's early years were spent in her fathers practice completing administration tasks and Dental Assisting. Amie graduated from the Dental Hygiene Diploma program in 2003 from The Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene located in Hamilton, Ontario. Amie received notification from the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board in June of 2003 and began clinical Dental Hygiene practice with her father (late) Dr. R.W. Banting.
