Top notch restaurant. View is spectacular! Bar is impressive. Place to go for an ultra special occasion!
The food is a bit over priced for the amounts and quality you are getting but hey this is Bay st right? Atmosphere is supreb. On date or even for a business dinner/lunch you wil surley impress if that person has not been here before. Good service and very extensive bar.
They have a happening Thurday afterwork crowd that shows up for some afterwork drinks. It's a place where people come to see and be seen.
Going to Ki is like a night out in itself. The food is great, the staff is professional and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is energetic yet comfortable. The rock shrimp is my favorite item on the menu, although I've had most everything else. The food presentation is good, and the items are all perfect for sharing, even the steaks. The bartenders make a perfect dirty vodka martini, although it does take a while sometimes...they're very busy, so don't order at the last minute. That just adds to the experience though, if they weren't busy, it wouldn't be nearly as fun!
With such high praise I thought Ki was the perfect get away for a romantic dinner for two. I wish that was the case. We arrived at 7:30 The sun was setting outside inside it was pitch midnight, it was so dark it was hard to see my wife. The small table lights barely through off enough light to find our utensils. We joked that it was so dark to hide what our food really looked like. We ordered Seasonal Veggie Tempura, Dynamite makimonos, kit bee maki, saikyo-marinated & broiled Black Cod with rapini, grilled Canadian AAA Tenderloin served with garlic ponzu sauce. The maki was okay, but the tempura shrimp in the Dynamite was cold and soggy. The Veggies were okay although I think a few pieces were overdone but I can't say for sure because it was so dark. The main's were a big disappointment. The cod was almost inedible, the fish being fatty and tasteless, not what you would expect from black cod. The tenderloin was tough which is odd since it's usually a tender cut and all I could taste was the garlic from the Ponzu sauce. I won't be going back. I should note however that the servers were very attentive and polite.
I am not a big sushi fan, but this place has so much more to offer! The atmosphere is amazing - go early and mingle with the "just left the office crowd"... Make sure you make a reservation! Even though it is very busy, we still received stellar service and attention. The waiters know their stuff! This is a great place to go if only 2 of you or with a crowd.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. My husband is a chef, and he was so impressed by the quality of the food. The black cod is unbelievably good! I cannot wait to go back.
If sushi is your thing, then this is definitely the place to eat. The fusion approach to this traditional Japanese cuisine is definitely the best I've ever had. Ki manages to meld the best aspects of Western and European flavors while staying true to a Japanese style of culinary delight. Our waitress was personable and friendly, each sampling was perfectly timed and the decor was sexy and inviting.
Great atmosphere very lively and a great lighting effect made it viewable without being too bright. Went for a birthday and the server was so catering and knew in detail the flavour and pairing of the foods with the drinks to a "T". The food was so delicious and fresh tasting the drinks are brought to you in two parts with your alcohol and ice in one glass and your mixer in a small carafe. Definietly will be going back had a great time.
The hot was hot, the cold was cold, tha pacing between courses was perfect. Definitely a taste experience!

The suit-and-tie crowd imbibes in happy hour drinks and Asian fusion food at this downtown sushi lounge. Fittingly, the bar’s signature Kyushu Cosmo puts an Asian twist on the classic martini — the sweet drink is made with Tanaka Moonlight shochu (a Japanese distilled beverage) mixed with Moonstone plum sake, tart cranberry and fresh lime with cherry dust.
