Joshua graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he distinguished himself with academic excellence. He won awards in evidence, international law, and oral advocacy. He graduated in the top 4% of his class. After completing law school, Joshua articled at the Superior Court of Justice (Toronto), the highest trial court in the province. During his articles, he worked on a number of cases involving serious criminal charges, including murder, drug trafficking, and robbery.
