Had a great time doing a paint night here
My family was in Toronto for a staycation and very much enjoyed the Sunday morning brunch. Was promptly seated as we had a reservation, staff was very personable and even gave us some recommendations during our trip. Would definitely recommend but make sure you make a reservation for the Sunday brunch.
Booked supper for Winterlicious 2013 with high expectations based on website reviews. We were seated promptly and our waitress was there in a quick time to take our drink order. She brought water while the sommelier (?) was getting our wine. Our food order was taken. Their "Caesar” salad was too garlicky for me. The surf and turf (8 oz NY Strip loin and one jumbo shrimp on a skewer) was okay, although I don't think the cut of meat was very good. Also, I asked for mine to be done medium well and it was closer to medium rare. Side with the steak (fries for me, mashed for the bf and vegetables) were fine. I may give this place another chance and order off the regular menu. The wine (a Chilean Carmenere) was wonderful. Service decent (although getting the bill was slow). The servers should be told not to wear strong perfume/cologne. It was overpowering and really ruined what was already a disappointing meal.
Come here for brunch!
This is a great place for an all you can eat buffet. The choices are enough to satisfy anyone pallet. The desert table is great.
Sunday Jazz Brunch is more Lunch than Breakfast. I went there just this past weekend with a friend, and I was a bit let down that the only "breakfasty" foods were breads, omlettes, fruits, and waffles (technically in the dessert section of the buffet). I didn't get to try any of the "lunch" items, but there seemed to be lots of variety. I would only recommend going to the Sunday Brunch for lunch.
Came here for Summerlicious 2009. Great food! We ordered everything from the menu and all was good. The portions for the main dish was surprisingly large for a summerlicious menu - my chicken was huge, I couldn't finish it. If you are going for summerlicious I recommend the tiramisu for dessert and the crab cakes for the apps! I would recommend an entree but all four choices turned out to be great. (All for only $25, what a great price!)
You will not be disappointed by the spread of delectable pastries, seafood, meat, salads, made-to-order eggs, and desserts. All for less than $20, it'll last you til dinner time! The atmosphere is also great but do expect a lineup. Well worth it!
I recommend the Hot House weekend brunch buffet to every who goes to Toronto. The selection was fantastic. Delicious breakfast favourites, pastas, salads, breads, cheeses, meats, and so much more. Dessert buffet that calls for seconds. We can't wait to go back.
They handled a large party of nearly 20 quite efficiently. I found the food to be oversauced and tangier than it needed to be. Apparently they're known for their pasta dishes.
Excellent buffet, so much variety!! The dessert buffet is amazing...save room!
