For Brad Higginson, owner and operator of Alma Florists Inc., flowers mean much more than a gift, they’re a form of very personal expression. “Flowers are emotion, whether that’s love or sympathy,” he says. “And I love helping people express that feeling.”
Brad and Alma Florists have been helping people express themselves through flowers for decades. A third generation florist himself, Brad took over the shop, originally opened by his grandfather in 1952, after briefly considering a career in banking. “I have an artistic flair,” Brad says, “and so I got my credentials and eventually took over the business.”
Since then, he’s expanded the business, his own creativity, and the already well-established business’s presence in Toronto. “Our flowers have been featured at the Junos, Breakfast Television and plenty of other places,” he says of his more famous arrangements, “it’s been really exciting.”
First informed that they received bad roses and would substitute them with other flowers, instead chose to send tired looking flowers. Delivery was made at 7:10pm when no-one was happy to get those flowers anymore after few conversations with indifferent florist. Flowers looked nothing like a picture.
