SHAME SHAME

I have been going to this Restaurant since it opened and think It Is unfair that you allow people to post comments against the owner.. Every time and I mean Every time myself and my party has been there we have been treated with the utmost respect. Our servers have been great and the food has been Fantastic. The owner has always gone out of his way to to make sure everything Is to our satisfaction. As for yelling at his employee's have NEVER seen it one time..Maybe you should stop to think before posting these slanderous reviews that these might be disgruntled employees who do not want to work but stand around texting or showing customers their tattoo's among other things which i have seen in other shops..My family and I will go back to rooster and continue to go back. Shame Shame this should be about the food NOT slandering someones name or Business.

Poor management

I agree with the comment about the owner being rude to his employees. He has also been known to physically abuse employees such as throwing things at them, hitting them etc. This is unacceptable and needs to be stopped. I think it's about time the police and labour board are called.

Good soup

on most visits the food has been good and the service better than it was the last time..my daughter waited almost 30 minutes for a wrap...and then it wasn't even served the way it was suppose to be. The part that bothers me the most is how the owner/boss speaks to his employees...at times this has been just plain ride and I have been in the service/customer service industry long enough to know that admonoshing employees in plain view and earshot of customers is NOT cool. He needs to clean up his act.~!

Food Quality Poor

Although I work close by, I walk to places much further to avoid the terrible food here. I would never go in there again after many meals of disappointment. If you're management, wake up and hire a decent cook. Breakfast: they cannot even cook an egg properly, always overcooked. Potatoes usually have a rotten taste. Massively over-seasoned with tons of nasty salt, pepper, and some garlic granules. Lunch: Over-priced for what you get. ie. 7$ for a sandwich, nothing else included.. no fries, no salad, no drink, nothing. Service: Decent service, hit or miss.

Sour meat...

We each got a burger and fries. The waitres didnt seem to care about how long our food was taking so i called her over. she brought the food to us it was cold and too top it all off the meat was sour.. WORST MEAL EVER!! stay away from this place u might get sick!!

I'm a breakfast lover, and I'll just say that if you're not Finn, don't try to make "finn" pancakes. Menu a tad strange, food greasy and terrible coffee. I didn't like the fact that the waitress was sitting with her friends eating. Running back and forth and chatting with her friends and trying to do her job at the same time. We probably came at a bad time, so will try it one more time.

All around fantastic!

I don't know where the other people who wrote reviews were, but it most certainly wasn't at Rooster's! The first time I was there there were 3 of us and we thought it was great. I even told the owner exactly what I thought. My Mum and I were back again the next day for lunch and it was once again great. The 3rd time there were 6 of us and everyone was happy with their meal. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff if great and I certainly didn't see the owner berating his staff in any way, shape or form. He was very pleasant, polite and jovial to everyone!

BREAKFAST MEAL

A group of us headed over as it was close to where we were and ordered mainly the breakfast. It was fine, although at other places I've experienced better. Atmosphere is bright and cheery - comfortable setting. We were all of the opinion that the food was okay but not a meal we were raving about.

Cheery Decor with slow service and awful eggs benedict

This was my second visit to Roosters's. During my first meal I had a mediocre Tuna Melt, Cheddar Broccoli Soup which was one of the worse I've hat at a restaurant, but good service and a great butter tart. I came back with my girlfriend for the eggs benedict which were highlighted on the menu. The Hollandaise sauce is from a family recipe and prepared daily. The service was lousy, we waited 15 minutes to even have our order taken. The server was disinterested and slow in bring our coffee/milk. When the meal finally arrive the hash browns were actually diced potatoes. Between our orders they were either uncooked or entirely coated in pepper. The eggs themselves were poached and then put on top of an engligh muffin. The issue being they had been poached too long, and the muffin was soggy as they must have been put on the muffin without being adequately dried. Beyond that the bacon in my meal was undercooked. This is entirely disappointing as I liked the owner, and the upbeat decor. But it's highly unlikely we will return.

There was no problem with the food or service at...

There was no problem with the food or service at all, we came in for a late Sunday breakfast and it was fine. Near the end of our meal the manager/owner came from the kitchen and began giving the only waitress a hard time. After loudly (and this isn't a big space!) reprimanding her, he continued with all the intelligence of a school-yard bully asking 'Why would ya do that? Isn't that dumb? ISN'T IT??'. This was PAINFUL to watch and we felt awful for the young girl! We asked for a check, over-tipped the poor girl, and left!

Bright, clean with a warm atmosphere. Great service friendly staff best breakfast I've had yet in any eatery in Thunder Bay and at a great price. I was very satisfied.
