St.George Centre......a great place...gorgeous....
Our social group books this Hall for our two main galas each year....we love the place. Contrary to the first review, we have always found the booking procedure easy, the price fair and the food options presented to us are always good....having said that, one time we found the food a little salty but it was corrected next time. Food is always hot....plentiful and appetizers yummy. Staff is efficient and cheerful. I've always found that they do exactly what they say they will do. It's a hidden gem of a place in southern Richmond Hill. ...as I say......we love the place!!!
St. George Centre belonging to St. George Antiochian Church from Richmond Hill, Ontario, has very nice premises. The hall is nicely decorated and could be a wonderful venue for an event of about 250 people, especially for those who intend to use the church for a religious ceremony. It is very convenient and both buildings are really pleasant. However, by all means I would not recommend using the catering services of the hall as we didn't have a good experience with our wedding. They were really disorganized and didn't respect their promises. Although they promise you a good deal, everything they serve is cheap and they try to save money by reducing the number of hours of bar serving, motivating that they are worried that people will get drunk or other ridiculous reasons. I would strongly recommend to bring your own catering team if you really want the hall and to write every small detail in the contract as well as clauses in the case they don't respect it, in which case they will, probaly, not accept your terms . Having your own catering your price per quality would be better. Somebody advised me on this and I am sorry that we didn't follow the advice.
