Ben's family originated in Myola on the Tablelands around 1891 and like many families made a living on the land. Mt Haren and Haren Creek just outside Kuranda originate from Ben's mothers side of the family.Ben was born in Brisbane but after a few visits back to Cairns finally came home in 2001. Ben has a diverse working background and an expert in setting up systems to solve the everyday problems that businesses confront. He commenced in the finance industry (computing) writing finance programs and setting up systems for larger institutions.
