Do you remember reading certain books growing up in the U.K.? Maybe those Children's annuals that Father Christmas brought each year? Or, do you wish that you could find books on "British" sports like Football, Cricket and Rugby.
The name of Susan Chamber’s King Street West store, Paraphernalia Books ‘N’ Stuff, is delightfully spot on. She stocks thousands of used books on travel, history, politics, poetry, theology and sports alongside fiction that includes the ephemeral classics.
The ‘stuff’ part references imported British candy and memorabilia – all with a red, white and blue theme. “When I opened the store I only stocked books,” explains Susan. “But customers heard my English accent and asked if I could get hold of British goodies for them so I became a candy store, too.”
