The Bone Research and Education Centre (BREC) is a Centre of Excellence in the Diagnosis and Management of Metabolic Bone Disease, Calcium and Parathyroid Disorders. The goals and objectives of the BREC are:
1. To deliver state of the art clinical care to people with metabolic bone disease or calcium and parathyroid disorders.
2. Advance clinical research in understanding the mechanisms for disease development and development of new drug therapy.
3. Disseminate knowledge providing physicians both generalists and specialists with the tools to diagnose and treat bone diseases and calcium disorders.
4. Provide an onsite multi-media learning centre for patients and physicians.

I love Dr. Khan. She is the most understanding and compassionate doctor I have ever met. She listens closely to you and takes action. She is at the top of her field and has been 100% accurate with all my issues. I have been her patient for about 20 years now. Bring a book to the waiting room because sometimes the wait is long because she gives each patient as much time as they need with her. I highly recommend her.
I lost 2 parathyroid gland in a surgical error a number of years ago. Dr. Khan has helped me greatly - my health is much improved thanks to her caring and her expertise in calcium absorption. I travel from London to Oakville to see her once or twice a year. I bring a book as she is often running late. That is because she is very generous with her time, giving each patient the time they need. She has never rushed me, and she has clearly read every inch of my file every time. She is amazing!
