This was my first time dining at a Korean restaurant so I was super excited. The place seemed very cozy. I loved the booths and their little curtains. We came here because it is my boyfriend's favourite Korean restaurant.
I was very happy with our meal! I love noodles so I got ramyun, which isn't a special or difficult dish but I enjoyed it. The food came out very quickly and at a good temperature. My boyfriend loves their potato appetizer and I adore their sweet peanuts. We also got bulgogi, which was amazing! The portion was large, more than enough for the two of us and there was the perfect amount of sauce. The ladies who work there are nice and efficient as well. My first impression of Korean food was a positive one and I hoped to visit again.
On my second time there, we ordered the combo my boyfriend raved about: soup, spicy diced chicken, 5 bottles of beer for $18 and dukboki (a dish I had been wanting to try). Again, the service was fast and the food was hot and tasted amazing. We ordered much more than we could finish so we happily took most of the meal home. I wish I could make a trip back here sooner!
Very family friendly. We are not Korean so we are a little intimidated by the menu since it offers strictly Korean cuisine and not what we are used to in the Koren/Japanese establishments we are used to in North York so we are still trying to figure out which dishes we like to try. Most excellent kim chi and complementary accompanying dishes, especially the savory pancakes and chapchae and pickled vegetables. Very delicious campulgee, HUGE serving, very nice ladies serving. Very tidy place.
I wish they had kalbee dinner and tempura dishes.
