Patio is perfect, burgers are exceptional.
My boyfriend and I went to the Boat House Restaurant in Chippawa and the food and service was excellent. I had the Drunken Mussels which was amazing we also had wontons and my boyfriend had an amazing homemade burger. I would definately go again and plan to go again in the future.
okay so, we go here for breakfast on Sundays. It's pretty busy! The breakfast is good! But who can screw up breakfast LOL. We had the pizza once. . it was really soggy and was falling apart when trying to eat it. Staff is okay. . could be a little more customer friendly
This restaurant's menu is the same as anywhere else. The homemade burger was juicy and not overcooked, but the texture was a little mushy. Not bad overall, but the flavour still reminded me of a frozen burger. The fries were good since they had been fried twice so they were crispy. The wings were small - this is not a complaint. They were not fatty, the way most wings tend to be. The cajun salt and pepper seasoning seemed more Indian than cajun. Lots of veggies on the side. The blue cheese that came with it had obviously been sitting in the container for some time as it had began to yellow on the surface. Overall an okay place but the view makes the place worthwhile.
went there jan 23/10 they had a great band playing a group of young guys that sounded WOW the beer was cold the pizza and wings were wild we had a great time we will for sure be back waitress was run off her feet but kept up with it all very impressed
Based on other reviews, we visited for dinner, then came back 2 days later for lunch. Very close to the tourist trap area, yet "off the beaten path". Great variety in food. Very good, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere. Very good service. Casual. Discovered later that it's just 2 blocks from Marineland (and only about a mile south of the falls). Highly recommended.
My husband and I visited Niagra Falls with our 4 year old son and mother in law from Las Vegas, NV, and we wanted somewhere off the beaten path. We were pleasantly suprised with this restaurant. Fish and Chips; delicious, fries with gravy; delicious. Chicken Parm, wonderful portion sizes, catered to our little boy. Will absolutely come back.
it was nice to eat at one of the very few family restaurants in niagara since the chains are rediculous the owner even came by to check on the food and service . we will definately be back.very enjoyable, clean, bathrooms impecable, and a very beautifull patio with a perfect view of the creek, plants, flowers dawned the patio.very pleasant atmosfear
would definetly go back, as food is homemade. It just happened to be "Superbowl Sunday". Even with us being outsiders, we were still included in all draws and gifts given. Restaurant was very clean, washrooms impecable. Our waitress was a young lady, named Kayla. Very polite and accomidating. Will definetely be back.
As this restaurant was recommended by a good friend of ours we decided to try it out with a couple friends of ours. We were not disappointed in any way! The service was delightful and energetic! The food was delicious and the majority is HOMEMADE! The fries are fresh cut and the roasted potatoes are some of the best we've ever had! Overall The Boathouse Restaurant is definately somewhere we would recommend! We will go back soon!!!
We sat down outside on the deck with an amazing view of the Chippawa creek and blossoming flowers accross the street. We scaned the breakfast menu which had nice varity of choices. We finally decided on the special which was a great deal compared to other mainstream restaurant prices and plate sizes we were served. The eggs were perfect adn the french toast was hearty at a fair price. The service was friendly, funny and kind when we were asking for directions. The bugs were unforgiving but it was worth staying outside since the weather was beautiful. This restaurant was family oriented as far as we could tell we felt very comfortable here and we would come back in a hurry!
We decided to try The Boat House again after many months as we heard it was much improved. It used to smell like grease when you walked in the door and you would leave with that smell on you but I have to say it was very clean and fresh in there today. New healthier menu, lots of variety. The special was a steak and fries for $8.00, it was a good sized steak with homecut fries. The wings are puny but you pay by the pound so you get about 11 of them; they were very tasty, served with celery, carrots and blue cheese dressing. Bartender/Server was very nice and friendly. Good Sunday afternoon business, we'll be back.
I was absolutely dissapointed as I had my lunch at the Boat House restaurant. Not only did the waiter take at LEAST 10 minutes to greet us, it also took her even longer to return to take our order. As if that wasnt enough, the food was nauseating. The pizza was soggy, greasy, and was falling apart as I was trying to take a bite. Also the wings did NOT taste like my usual honey garlic. In addition, the restaurant chairs are so grotesque and uncomfortable. They are way too big for the tables. They looked like patio chairs. Not appealing at all. Also I would have appreciated it if the waiter asked us if we would like to sit in the other room(which is inside). Because frankly, I do NOT like flies buzzing around me while I am eating my meal. Overall, 2 out of 10. Not impressed at all.
