Although steamed rice may be eaten every day, the biryani (slow cooked with meat and spices in clay pots) and the vegetarian pulao, are often served on special occasions.
I have been enjoying the food from India Time for a couple of years. It is always excellent. You can tell a lot of time and effort is put into the delicious meals they prepare.
The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. I am so glad India Time came to Newmarket.
Small and cozy Indian restaurant in Newmarket. Great for people who do not eat very spicy food. The Channa Masala and the Gulab Jamum are one of the best I've ever tried. The staff is corteous and friendly.
The lunch buffet is very good, with a good variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
I would highly recommend it!
Restaurant is clean, bathroom was clean, food is very tasty, and parking is good. Price is around $20 per person for dinner plus GST and tip which is reasonable. The restaurant was not licenced for those that want alcoholic drink. They also have take out.
Some of the best food we have tasted.
Great service and very quick
Friendly staff
Food portions fair sized
Authentic taste
sauces were superb
flavoured naan was great
dessert too chewy for our taste
Surprisingly great food for a small place, hidden from view
get a bigger sign!
This is about the 10th time we have eaten at this restaurant. The food is wonderful and reminds us of the lovely meals our Indian friend cooks for us. The restaurant is quiet and tastefully decorated and the music is not intrusive. It is possible to actually have a converstaion with one's companion. The service is sometimes a little slow but one goes out to unwind and relax. Take a deep breath and go with the flow.
