Angels family restaurant on Westmount and Victoria in Kitchener is amazing! The food is quality and the amount you get is outstanding. The servers are all very pleasent and there are a few that are so very pleasant that I will request for their service when I am sitting down. Great place to eat for quality and quantity.
Have gone for Breakfast and never been disappointed. Has been in a while for a non breakfast meal and glad we did. Was pretty busy for dinner. Don't know if they have improved from past reviews but service was really good. Treated the kids very well. This goes along way when you are eating with kids. All the foods seemed above average. Big portions and tasty. The whole meal seemed to be really good bang for your buck.
I went on a Saturday morning, the place was packed but surprisingly there was no line. We were able to get seating at a booth which had more than enough room to comfortably sit and eat. Everything seemingly went downhill from there. We were given our menus and drinks and then apparently forgot about. It took about 35 minutes from when we ordered to when we received our food. Several other customers in the same area and with the same server who had shown up 10 minutes later had received their food before us. I am guessing our meals were actually prepared quickly by the cooks but left sitting for a while by our server because when it arrived it was cold. The sandwich was cold; the bread had been toasted but got soggy, the chicken was extremely dry and required a lot of sipping water and coffee prior to bites. The coleslaw was ok because it’s supposed to be served kind of cold anyway. The service is slow, the food is overpriced at not served properly, and the atmosphere is a little over the top in attempting to provide a 50’s or 60’s diner feel to it. Would not recommend, will not go back.
I have given this restaurant a few tries now because the food is on the better side but after this past Sunday they will not be getting our business again. This restaurant will not allow you to change anything on the menu...even the way you want your eggs done. I ordered an Eggs Benedict with the eggs hard boiled and they refused to do the eggs to my request??? They also will not allow you to sub a salad for fries and in todays day and age of eating more healthy you would think they would be glad to do that. I also have never come across a more rude owner as this one...to him one customer does not matter so there is no such thing as customer service. Do yourself a favour and spend your money at another restaurant that you can actually get what you are paying for.
I went to Angel's with my girlfriend for lunch with my girlfriend today... Good portion size, great price, the service was okay... I don't really have anything to praise or complain about, service-wise that is. We got our food quickly and the bill even quicker.
A word of warning though... Avoid the caesar salad at this restaurant at ALL costs, it leaves a horrible chemical/preservative aftertaste in your mouth.
What I'm trying to say is that this is a great place to eat if you have limited time on your lunch break and need to get back to work in a hurry, just as long as you AVOID THE CAESAR!

It's nothing really special (a chain restaurant), but the food is decent. Prices aren't outrageous. Portions are large. The pizza was actually quite good. Lots of cheese and sauce. In a town that is very lacking in decent places to eat, I will take it. Good enough for Kitchener, and the waitresses are very nice. There are a lot of reviews on here saying the service is poor. I totally disagree. I've been there lots of times. Never had anything but great service. I will eat there again. You're not going to see it on Diners Drive ins and Dives though.

Had a crepe with raspberries and there was a bug in it. I asked whether the fruit was washed and the manager just said the fruit comes packaged from the grocery store and "it happens." I take that as a no. Would not refund the item on my bill but gave me a gift certificate which I won't use.
My sig oth and I frequently go to Angel's for breakfast and it has always been good. This is a very casual place with diner fare so don't order anything fancy. The service has always been reasonably fast and we haven't had any of the issues many reviewers seem to have had.
Try the breakfast, burgers and get the gravy on the side.
One dinner was fine. The other is a different story. The meat that was ordered med.-well done was so rare that there was red juice on the plate. They did replace it and that piece was so tough you could not chew it!So the y took it back and put it back on the grill for a few minutes. When it was returned it too was very tough! The waitress appoligized but did not know what else to do. I told her to forget it, our evening was ruined!But, she did not charge us for our drinks! Big deal! needles to say we will never go back there again! This used to be a very good restaurant, what happened?

Me and a friend wanted something fun for lunch, as we are both younger (18) we were not taken seriously. It took us 10 min to be sat, our forks had old egg on them, took at least 15 min for a depressed waitress to come up and say " what do you want to drink" we never got new forks, took 45 min to get food, we were almost about to leave...Go our food the mash potatos were chunky, gravy was salty, and my steak had not one, but two long hairs in it. I did not want another meal but was given one, and had to pay full price for it. The staff ate beside us and were very rude and loud..ruined our whole visit. When i complained about the hair, i was not taken seriously!! I will not be going back!!!

Someone had to finish eating, and then they had to wash it.
I had already eaten half of it with my fingers.

My friends and I were regular diners for breakfast here and knew most of the staff fairly well. We used to go here once or twice a week. But over the past little while the service and the food have gone wey downhill. To the point of being inedible at times or the service unbearable. It a shame really.
Wow, I am surprised by all of the bad reviews. My husband and I eat her fairly regularly and like it. It is a diner so if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing meal, this is not the place for you. We have always had good meals, breakfast, lunch or dinner. We took my parent’s and my notoriously picky Mother loves it. Everyone we’ve taken enjoys the food and the service has generally been quite good. The portions are huge, too big for me to eat so there are leftovers to boot. I’m sorry to see the bad reviews but I have to say that has not been our experience !!
The Ribs themselves were pretty good. The service was pleasant, but very slow and unhelpful, despite that it was not very busy at the time. Our server seemed to know nothing about whether we could pay for an upgrade to greek salad for our otherwise-free house salad, what exactly comes on the loaded baked potato, or what types of wine they carried. She also dropped the bill without even offering dessert, despite the fact that I had mentioned that it was my companion's birthday. We also overheard alot of sursing and swearing from the kitchen area. If not for these issues dictating the atmosphere, the food might have tasted better. Bad experience - did NOT make me want to return.
