This is the best place for falafel and shawarma in Hamilton. Food always fresh due to lots of customers on a daily basis.Place is always full of customers especially lunch time. Food is cooked right infront of you. Polite owners. They have received numerous recognition for their good service and food. Always serve good food any time of the year. FYI TO ALL. I have no conflict of interest, not related to owners, etc. Only honest review from a regular customer.
I cannot say enough about this schwarma. It is sooo good. Ya, the place is kind of dumpy, but if it were big and fancy the prices wouldn't be as great as they are. $5 for a really fillling schwarma...you can't beat that. The staff are really friendly and remember your order the next time you come in. They get really busy at lunch time (because it's so yummy and cheap) but you still don't have to wait long for your food. Only down fall is there isn't a lot of seating. There are benches outside though.
Never visiting again. Firstly, I'm from Scarborough - where I've had literally over 50 different shawarma experiences. I went to Hamilton today, if the place itself wasn't already very sketchy (which I'm use to living in Scarborough where the places look like this but the food is decent), the shawarma was the worst experience ever. It was completely falling apart and hilariously the menu offers another small pita for $0.50. As if I'm going to buy a second pita to stuff the chicken and sauce falling out of the first one into the second one... I wouldn't be so upset with a falling apart shawarma though - it tasted terrible!!!!!!!!!! this, is a place to be avoided... if they have been awarded anything - boycott that award! Service was fine (quick) but the food is what I'm reviewing here! Oh, they don't accept anything other than cash.
This is the second worst shawarma I've had. The chicken was dry, the shawarma itself was totally falling apart and it was totally overloaded with "white sauce" when I said "just a touch". If I were to describe the person that would misunderstand that, I would have to use swear words. The shawarma plate my girlfriend ordered was garbage as well. Same dry chicken, dry rice. They only have like 3 or 4 things on their menu.... I've got nothing good to say about this place.
i found it very hard to believe when i red some of the other reviews that people did not like this place i can under stand the comment with the bugs that is gross tho i have only ever taken food to go so i have never experienced that. the location is not the greatest and if its busy there is hardly any room to wait for your food i did hear that they are looking for another location on the mountain with more room they will still keep the original just open a second one i hope this is true. i think the food is great for the price compared to some of the other shwarma places my only one complaint is that when this place first opend the were so generous with the portions the take out containers barley closed but now they are a little more like half full but its unfortunate that that happens alot when places become successful.
The owners are definitely friendly and the place looks clean enough. The shawarmas were not on a spit but cooked over the grill. The flavour was fine and the meat portions ginormous. The flavour is definitely above average but not authentic Middle Earstern. Do try Paramount in Mississauga if you want some real stuff. Having said all that i would definitely go again just to see a nice owner doing earnest & honest business. Remember folks 4 stars is Great overall and 5 stars is best ever!! How can anyone give five stars for a place with seating for 10 persons in a diner even if you are overzealous about your hosts and food?
I have had falafel in many many places and this is by far the best. My wife loves the chicken shawarmas. The place itself is small with just a few tables (not a dinner out type of place). Very casual. The service is always great and the staff (owners?) are very cheerful. A TRUE HIDDEN GEM!. If you like this kind of food, do yourself a favour and try it. If you don't like this kind of food, do yourself a favour and try it anyway.
my brother was looking up reviews here and saw all the positive reviews and when I saw the picture of the place I instantly recognized the place, as when often pass by it. Service was quick, the guy even listened to my add-ons to our meal even while serving another costumer. The chicken shawarma was a little different from what I'm used to(smaller) but WAY more packed up with meat. The sauce was really good, chicken nicely seasoned and all served up in a nice tin-foil with a fork(you'll need it!) Overall, really neat little(and I mean LITTLE) shawarma place. Will defiantly go there again. I really want to try to falafel.
Well not the normal Shawarma I was normally used to but you know what an extremely pleasant surprise! These are the kind of places to love, an honest couple making an honest living just goes with the charm of this lovely little joint. The Shawarma was phenomenal I still have the taste in my mouth, that marinade... those sauces. Just fantastic stuff. I've been trying to take everyone I know there thats how good it is. The one time I got the chicken rice plate with my gf we got one order and it was a great for sharing, though I could have crushed it all by myself. It comes with salad, a couple of pitas (so you can make individual shawarmas), and of course a heaping pile of that delicious chicken on top of great refried rice. Just go... go now... only drag its not open on Sundays! Definitely a mister mux MUST!
I've gone to this restaurant a few times over the past year. On my last visit I decided to order a falaffel sandwich. It was outstanding, as were my chicken shawarmas that I have had in the past. This restaurant has all of their dishes down to a fine art.
Good shawarma and large portion sizes. Highly recommended if you are in the area and also reasonably priced.
Amazing food, prices, and quantity. Honestly there is nothing else to be said about this place, I was incredibly satisfied!!
I have been on the hunt for a good Shawarma for several years and in Hamilton, I gave up looking. Finally, a friend brought me here and I was really hesitant from the neighborhood but wow! What a delicious Chicken Shawarma! Such a massive explosion of flavours!
The best shawarma in the city. Portions are very beg, the quality of food is very good, and and prices are good as well. Great owner, great attitude. Will recommend to anyone to visits
Our quest for the best shwarma is over!! Owner is awesome and genuine. Took me a long time to get there and try it as i had heard great things. REALLY! It really is the best in the city and i wish i had discovered it sooner.
Best shawarma in Hamilton . . . NO DOUBT! Had the chicken shawarma with everything on it and couldn't stop saying how great it was. Stuffed full of meat, no skimping here. We will definitely be back!
