Overall, my first time visit at this place met my expectations. The food was delicious and satisfying. Food portions was adequate. Atmosphere was comfortable. Place is clean. Will definitely come back for a visit.
I don't usually do these reviews. I also drove from Oakville to this restaurant for take out, a lot of thai restaurants close to me are closed on Mondays. This was the best chicken pad thai I have had, I will drive here again any day of the week. Lots of chicken and really tasty!
We visited based on Restaurantica reviews and weren't disappointed. We went on a Monday and it was a little slow. The service could have been a little faster, but the food was well worth the wait. We started with their appetizer sampler which was tremendous. Their Pad Thai is probably the best we have ever had. It has a pleasant spiciness that borders on hot, without actually being hot. We also had their Basil Beef and Eggplant dishes. We had plenty to take home. Overall, the value for the dollar is excellent. The space is attractive and comfortable. We'll definitely be returning.
I love Thai food and this is the best Thai food around. We actually drive from Oakville to eat here. The food is fresh, good quality and delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The price is more than fair. Very affordable for what you get, especially lunch. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I have had meals at this restaurant quit a few times. Actually,I would upgrade this restaurant to a "Dining Room".The music is light and low,so you can talk. The service is exceptional, one waitress calls everyone coming in by there first name. This makes us feel like we are part of the family. The food is exceptional and when it is presented it is like a piece of art.The owners are very pleasant and most times they will come and say hello. I rate Thai Coconut very high.
We eat at Thai Coconut or take out on an average of once a week. While the atmosphere is somewhat austere, it is spotless and the service is always gracious. When we take friends, they are always pleasantly surprised as the restaurant is not as well known as other Thai Restaurants in Burlington.
This is a gorgeous Thai restaurant. The decor is subtle and elegant, and yet, the restaurant still has an intimate atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday night and it was nicely busy. Good parking in this plaza. Even the bathrooms are immaculate and handsome. The food is just delicious – perfectly seasoned. The service was prompt, attentive but not intrusive. The owner is a quiet gentleman who is thoughtful, gentle and helpful. We also enjoyed the quiet Thai music in the background. We celebrated a birthday and it was a perfect spot to go.
This is a little hole in the wall but was absolutely delightful. The service was attentive and pleasant. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. So far for me this is the best Thai restaurant in town.
My wife and i visited this restaurant on a quiet weekday night. The restaurant was almost empty and we thought we had made a mistake but were pleasantly proved wrong. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was brought in good time and very very tasty and fresh. The suggestion was that we cancel the mango salad as the fish had a huge helping of mango salad over it. Attention to small details like this make a good meal, great and doesnt go unnoticed. The chef joined us at the end of the meal and greeted us with a traditional hand together Thai gesture of greetings and we were thrilled. A true gem of a place in our opinion and deserves to be at the top of the Thai cuisine restaurants in the neighbourhood.
I must say that this restaurant is by far the best Thai restaurant around. I live in Hamilton, and travel to burlington, for the fresh food, delicious and inexpensive. The service is friendly, the ambiance is perfect. I have reccomended this place to many people, and they all agree. I will definately continue to frequent the Tha Coconut, and for anybody who has tasted Thai food, you haven't tasted anything till you've eaten there! Whoever the cooks are, they obviously take pride in what they do, cause u can taste it in the food!
Three friends and I went tonight based on the recommendations here....we were delighted. The restaurant is inviting, the service is very friendly and quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. We all will definitely be spreading the word. The fish in red thai curry and the coconut shrimp soup were particularly outstanding
It was by accident that I went to this place. But Ihave gone there many times. Lunch special is realnice - lemon grass soup, egg roll and main entree. Food is good, bu more than food I love the ambiance, place and the very nice staff. They treat one as part of family and are very professional.
Mimi & the staff were GREEEEEEAT!! I love Thai food, but this was fabulous. The restaurant is very clean, nice washroom, great service & relaxing music. A calming environment. Very affordable. I can't wait to go back!
Food: Great! Best Pad thai I've had in months! It was the perfect sweetness and flavours combined! Ginger chicken was also well done. Spring roll tasted fresh and the tom-yum-gai soup was also refreshing. Lunch specials were at $7.99 Worth the price in taste and quality, but not for everyday. Service: Genuinely friendly and approachable. Helpful as well. Too bad they were out of take-out menu available so I could peruse it a bit longer. Amenities: Very clean dining area and kitchen from what I could see. These thai places are certainly renowned for looking pretty. Hoping to come back soon!
My wife eats here it seems once a week for lunch, which is apparantely a very good deal. Dinner was great though. Everything was very tasty, came rather quickly, which I'm not used to in a thai restaurant. There wasn't really anything to complain about at all to be honest. The seating could maybe be sectioned off a bit more in areas maybe, that's it. Not even really a complaint though.
Last owner left and this one isn't as good as before. Their green curry isn't as good as it's lack of flavour with runny water. However I give a credit for their good soup but waitresses forgot that I've ordered a soup.
New ownership has added several nice new items to the menu; quality and service just as good as the previous Thai City ownership.
This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. It is the only restaurant I would return to again and again; after eating here I feel like I could eat at Thai Coconut every day! This is some of the best pad thai I've ever had, and the quality of the food is simply excellent. Service was great too - friendly waitresses who made my friend and me feel comfortable and relaxed. Will definitely be retuning to this one.
The food were excellent. Pad Thai noodle was the best I ever had from Thai restaurant in Burlington and Nearby area. Service is kind of slow, but it worth waiting. Would recommand to try out. We will definitely go back again.
