Framework Cycle & Fitness incorporated as a Nova Scotia Joint Stocks company in 2004, after William (Bill) and Muriel Goldston opened for business in 1996 in downtown Sydney. What started out as a small bike repair/assembly shop grew to become Cape Breton Island's largest privately owned sports retail outlet specializing in the sales and service of all makes of fitness products for commercial, institutional and home/outdoor use.Framework operates year round in downtown Sydney six days a week, with three fulltime employees including Bill Goldston who serves as president and general manager.Three seasonal workers assist during peak spring-summer-fall seasons.Framework carries three main bicycle lines in eastern Canada - Specialized, Norco and Giant- as well as sells and services multiple brands of commercial and home fitness equipment lines. more...
